Trained as a biochemist, then in mathematics, then in computer science and worked in publishing, education, and the computing industry, but now retired to the hills of Andalucia in Southern Spain. Interests are wide and varied covering history and politics, philosophy and culture, science and technology, and almost anything else that passes by.
