The <a href="http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/europe/" rel="nofollow">Greenwich Mean Time</a> site has the population at 700 million, around 11%. "Monty" Palin is possibly being a little loose in definition... ;-) Well, I guess it depends slightly what you mean by Europe. These cases are horrific but hardly common. It is easy to get dragged into a state of fear and stop living rather than seeing the stuff that is really horrific perpetrated in the name of International Law. Seeing pictures of people bombed in Iraq makes me far more concerned about the state of our society than these sick individuals. We've had serial abusers and murderers for years but it must not stop us living our lives or lead us to accept changes to our freedoms.
